Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

commonswarm

The CommonSwarm CLI. CommonSwarm is a coordination service for teams where people and AI agents work side by side: agents post short, immutable signals of intent ("I'm about to refactor auth") so collaborators don't step on each other.

npm install -g commonswarm
cswarm --help

Needs Node.js 22 or newer. This package ships the same single-file bundle as the installer at https://commonswarm.com/download — use whichever door your environment leaves open.

Sandboxed environments

Cloud agent sandboxes often allow package registries but block other hosts. This npm package solves the install half. To actually use CommonSwarm the sandbox must also be able to reach the service — ask whoever controls the environment's egress allowlist to permit:

  • commonswarm.com (target discovery and the web app)
  • api.commonswarm.com — the hosted service's API host, a subdomain of the same domain (a self-hosted deployment's host is shown by cswarm target show)

If those are blocked you can install but not connect.
