Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

centric

The command line for Connection-Centric: what one person can do in the app, done as them from a terminal, a script, or a program such as Claude Code or Codex.

npm install --global connection-centric
centric connect --name "Claude Code on the site laptop"

connect prints a code. Type it on your own phone, in the app under Me, Connected tools, Connect a tool, and approve the tool. Never type a code someone sent you: it would connect their tool as you. From then on:

centric home                 # what needs you now
centric round                # what has something unread, addressed to you first
centric task make --channel "Structural works" --title "Check level 5 props"
centric guide                # everything else: every command, what is refused and why

Everything the tool does carries its name, for everyone who sees it. It is disconnected from Me in the app, and lapses after 90 days unused. Node 22 or later; no dependencies. The same commands are tools of the MCP server at https://app.centric.business/api/mcp.
