Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Contact Validator

Contact Validator is a versatile npm package designed to validate various types of contact information.

Installation

Using npm :

npm install contact-validator

Usage

Validating Email Addresses

To validate an email address, import the validateEmail function and call it with the email address you want to validate.

import { validateEmail } from "contact-validator";

async function checkEmailValidity(email) {
  try {
    const isValid = await validateEmail(email);
    console.log("Email validity:", isValid);
  } catch (error) {
    console.error("Error validating email:", error);
  }
}

checkEmailValidity("[email protected]");

Validating Phone Numbers

To validate a phone number, use the validatePhone function. This function checks if the phone number is in a valid format.

async function checkPhoneValidity(phone) {

Validating URLs

To validate a URL, use the validateUrl function. This function checks if the URL is in a valid format and can be accessed.

Validating IP Addresses

To validate an IP address, use the validateIp function. This function checks if the IP address is in a valid format (IPv4 or IPv6).
