Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

copy-branch 📋

Just run npx copy-branch to copy your current Git branch name to your clipboard.

npx copy-branch
Branch name "release/rc-5.4.1" copied to clipboard!

Why? ✨

Because it's easier. Compare yourself:

  • git branch --show-current | pbcopy for macOS,
  • git branch --show-current | xclip -selection clipboard on Linux,
  • git branch --show-current | clip for Windows, or
  • git branch and manually copying it.

Installation 🚀

Not needed! Use it directly with npx: npx copy-branch

Want to install it locally? Sure: npm install -g copy-branch
