Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

cordova-plugin-android-wifi-lock

Allows an application to keep the Wi-Fi radio awake. Normally the Wi-Fi radio may turn off when the user has not used the device in a while. Acquiring a WifiLock will keep the radio on until the lock is released. Multiple applications may hold WifiLocks, and the radio will only be allowed to turn off when no WifiLocks are held in any application.

Installation

cordova plugin add cordova-plugin-android-wifi-lock --save

Methods

  • WiFiLock.acquire() <Promise> Locks the Wi-Fi radio on until release() is called.
  • WiFiLock.isHeld() <Promise> Checks whether this WifiLock is currently held.
  • WiFiLock.releass() <Promise> Unlocks the Wi-Fi radio, allowing it to turn off when the device is idle.
