Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Cotterpin

Proof-gated automation for AI coding agents.

A cotter pin is the small part whose only job is to stop something falling apart while it moves. Cotterpin does that for coding agents: it runs them against mechanical gates, so a task counts as done only when evidence says so — not when the agent says so.

This npm package is a name reservation

Cotterpin is a Python tool and is distributed on PyPI:

pipx install cotterpin

This package exists so the name is not taken by someone else. It contains no functionality. If a Node distribution is ever published, it will appear here under a version above 0.x.
