Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Cournot Skills

Cournot gives AI agents fair-value probability estimates for prediction markets, together with the venue's current price and the external data behind the assessment.

Installation

Install the Cournot skill with its dedicated installer:

npx cournot-skills add Cournot-AI/cournot-skills/skills/cournot

The installer detects supported agents such as Codex and Claude Code and lets you choose where to install the skill. To install it globally without prompts for Codex:

npx cournot-skills add Cournot-AI/cournot-skills/skills/cournot --global --agent codex --yes

Prerequisite: Node.js 22.20 or newer with npx available.

The generic skills installer remains available as a fallback:

npx skills add Cournot-AI/cournot-skills/skills/cournot

The generic installer remains available as an alternative.

Usage

Ask Cournot about a prediction-market event in plain language:

/cournot will ETH outperform BTC this quarter

You can also explicitly ask your agent to use Cournot. If several markets match, Cournot shows the candidates and lets you choose before requesting a probability. Market resolution and disambiguation are free.

What You Get

  • Cournot's probability estimate
  • The venue's current market price
  • The external data sources behind the assessment

Cournot returns the answer, not its proprietary algorithm.

Pricing

Every account includes three free probability calls. This allowance does not reset. No setup or wallet is needed for those calls. After that, each call costs $0.01.

If Cournot cannot answer because no market matches or the inputs are too thin, it says so and you are not charged.

Payments and Safety

After the free calls, the agent needs its own wallet capable of signing x402 payments on Base or b402 payments on BNB Chain.

If the agent does not have a compatible wallet, you can install one without leaving the conversation. For example, Binance Agentic Wallet supports x402 payment signing:

npx skills add binance/binance-skills-hub/skills/binance-web3/binance-agentic-wallet

Other compatible x402 v2 wallets and signers are also supported. Installing or connecting a wallet is handled by the wallet's own skill and security flow; Cournot does not block that setup and does not need access to the wallet's secrets.

After the wallet is ready, the agent can return to the pending Cournot question without requiring you to re-enter it. Some hosts may require a one-time skill reload before a newly installed wallet skill becomes available.

Cournot never asks for a private key or seed phrase and never holds user funds. Never paste wallet secrets into a conversation. A wallet should keep credentials in its own secure storage and provide only the authorization needed for each payment.

Paid probability requests run through the bundled Cournot client. It keeps the wallet authorization and paid HTTP replay outside the model context; the agent receives only a sanitized payment preview before confirmation and the final Cournot response afterward.

Repository Structure

The npm wrapper invokes the pinned skills CLI with copy mode.
