Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A fun Node.js script to make automated commits to GitHub repositories with random content and cowsay art.

Requirements

  • Node.js >= 14.0.0
  • GitHub Personal Access Token with repo scope

Installation

npm install crackd

Usage

First, create a .env file in your project root with your GitHub credentials:

GITHUB_TOKEN=your_github_token
GITHUB_USERNAME=your_github_username
REPO_NAME=your_repo_name

Then you can use the package in your code:

import makeCommit from "crackd";

// Make a commit with default settings
await makeCommit({
  commitOwner: process.env.GITHUB_USERNAME,
