Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

javascript framework built on top of react native

Readme

Borne JS

This project is intented to be created as a framework that shall be built on top of React Native

This Project is inspired from NextJS as it has evolved as a framework which has solved monotonous problems of React JS

We have tried to look around the world to solve various problems associated with react native but didn't found a perfect solution that can really work out of the box. Thus we decided to solve this on our own and try to make it available to world and try to give something back to the community.

Problem Statements

  • Create a library which can allow user to create a react native application using command line
  • Auto install all the dependencies required to power pack our project
  • Provide an intutive and easy navigation technique for the project
  • Configure the project for best practices
  • Device a way to make debugging react native application easier
  • Bring React native tags closure to the web tags
  • Build an optimised executable file for deployment

Custom npx command

We have created a npx command just like a create-react-app.

By this command, user is not required to install the package directly but allows them to create the application directly using this npx command

The first cut of the npx command is

npx create-borne-app

In order to get started with the development of this command, a developer needs to follow the following step

  • Clone the repository
  • Use the command npm i --location=global to install the package locally
  • In order to test the command, we would create all our examples inside example folder
  • To test the command, cd into the examples folder
  • Try to run the command npx create-borne-app
  • You should observe Hello World in the console as we have just made our command to emmit hello world in the terminal

Next Milestones

  • Command should allow the next param as the name of the project npx create-borne-app <app-name>
  • If app-name is not provided, the program should ask for name of the project to build
  • Command should allow user to choose from language to be used for development (Javascript / Trypescript)
  • Command should allow user to choose type of react native project (Class Based / Function Based)
  • Generate a react-native project with following config parameter given by the user
