Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

create-custom-react-app

create a custom template react app

This is a create-react-app wrapper , so you can use anything that you can use in create-react-app, more detail use , you can see create-react-app-user-guide

Install

# You must install create-react-app
$ npm install -g create-react-app

$ npm install -g create-custom-react-app

Usage

$ create-custom-react-app --help

  Usage: create-custom-react-app <project-directory> [options]

  Options:

    -t, --template [template-path-or-name] create react app use custom template
    -h, --help                              output usage information

  Other options are the same as create-react-app

The template can use the following three types:

  • Remote git repo from github,
$ create-custom-react-app -t <username>/<repo-name>  <project-name>
## example
$ create-custom-react-app -t likun7981/test-git test-remote-project
  • Global npm package like Yeoman, the prefix is react-app-template-<customname>, example:
# Install the template with global
$ npm install -g react-app-template-simple

$ create-custom-react-app -t simple test-global-npm-package-project
  • Local path template, example

⚠️ Note: relative local path must start with ., example ./relative-path instead of relative-path

$ create-custom-react-app -t relative-or-absolute-local-path test-local-path-project

Create template

It is recommended that you customize the template on the basis of the official template

  1. Create official template
$ create-custom-react-app react-app-template-custom-name
  1. Do what you want to do with the template
  2. You can publish to npm, push to git or save locally, after it you can simple init it a project use create-custom-react-app

⚠️ Note: The .gitignore file must rename to gitignore, you can see
1.https://github.com/npm/npm/issues/1862
2.https://qurl.com/5ysyl

Custom config

You can use react-app-rewired to custom config, more config package you can see react-app-rewire-contrib

Why

Because we want to customize the template, but you don't want to change create-react-app all the time.
