create-henry
Create a new project in one command. Henry is an AI-first self-hosted knowledge base and startup OS.
Usage
npx create-henry my-startupThis creates a new Henry directory and starts the server. It delegates to the [henryai](https://www.npmjs.com/package/henryai) CLI under the hood.
Equivalent to:
npx henryai create my-startup
cd my-startup
npx henryai runAll Commands
create-Henry is a shortcut for the most common flow. For everything else, use henryai directly:
npx henryai create [name] # Create a new Henry directory
npx henryai run # Start Henry serving the current directory
npx henryai import <template> # Import a pre-made Henry from the registry
npx henryai list # List Henry instances in the current directory
npx henryai doctor # Run health checks
npx henryai update # Download a newer app version
npx henryai uninstall # Remove cached app versions from ~/.henry
npx henryai --help # Show all commandsWhat You Get
- WYSIWYG markdown editor with AI editing panel (Claude)
- Agent dashboard — define personas, run tasks, view transcripts
- Scheduled jobs — cron-based automation with YAML configs
- Kanban task board
- Full terminal in the browser
- Cmd+K search, git-backed version history, drag-and-drop pages
- Henry registry — import pre-made templates for SaaS, agencies, e-commerce, and more
How It Works
The Henry web app auto-downloads to ~/.henry/app/ on first run. Your Henry is just a directory with a .henry manifest, your agents, jobs, and content — no database, no cloud dependency.
my-startup/
.henry YAML manifest
.agents/ Agent personas
.jobs/ Scheduled jobs
