Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

create-metonia-admin

v0.1.7

Published

Create polished, native SvelteKit admin apps with shadcn-svelte, Drizzle, PostgreSQL, and clean client/server boundaries.

Readme

Create your admin app

npx create-metonia-admin@latest

The wizard asks for a project name, suggests ./<project-name> relative to your terminal, and then shows only options relevant to the stack you select.

You can launch the same wizard with any supported package runner:

bunx create-metonia-admin@latest
npm create metonia-admin@latest
pnpm dlx create-metonia-admin@latest
yarn dlx create-metonia-admin@latest

Included by default

  • Svelte 5 + SvelteKit with Adapter Node
  • responsive shadcn-svelte Nova admin shell
  • operational Dashboard with a real Table primitive
  • search, status, and time-window filters
  • refresh skeleton, actionable empty state, navigation feedback, and custom 404
  • native SvelteKit loads and form actions
  • Zod + Drizzle + PostgreSQL + pg
  • complete Users CRUD example
  • generated migration, .env.example, README, AGENTS.md, and typed config
  • optional Bun-tested Docker output

Authentication and authorization are intentionally not generated yet. Add access control before production use.

Deterministic generation

Pass every choice explicitly for CI or repeatable scaffolding:

npx create-metonia-admin@latest acme-admin \
  --package-manager bun \
  --ui shadcn-svelte \
  --theme zinc \
  --data-pattern standard \
  --validation zod \
  --orm drizzle \
  --database postgresql \
  --provider generic \
  --driver pg \
  --no-docker \
  --users \
  --install \
  --no-git

Add --json to emit one versioned machine-readable result. Run npx create-metonia-admin@latest --help for the complete flag reference.

Native architecture

Generated applications stay understandable without learning a framework inside the framework:

src/lib/
├── client/
│ └── ui/
│ ├── components/
│ ├── views/
│ └── pages/
├── server/
└── shared/
client -> shared <- server
pages  -> views  -> components
routes -> client pages

The Dashboard uses the generated shadcn-svelte Table through $lib/client/ui/components. Page, view, and route ownership stays adapter-neutral so future verified UI adapters can replace primitives without changing the application boundary.

Current status

Version 0.1.x is an early public release. Bun, npm, pnpm, and Yarn generated-project paths have substantive Windows x64 evidence but remain Experimental pending repeatable multi-OS verification. Seven shadcn-svelte Nova base colors are selectable. Fluid UI and Deno remain visible but unavailable until their full contracts are verified.

See the GitHub repository for architecture decisions, exact verification evidence, development instructions, and issue tracking.
