create-ngis-plugin
Create a buildable NeoGIS UI plugin from an official starter template.
npm create ngis-plugin@latest my-pluginThe interactive flow uses a colored terminal wizard. Use the arrow keys to navigate, type to filter project directories and templates, press Tab to accept the highlighted completion, and press Enter to confirm. Ctrl+C or Escape exits without creating a project. Automation can provide every value explicitly:
npm create ngis-plugin@latest my-plugin -- \
--template tool-frontend \
--id com.example.my-plugin \
--name "My Plugin"Available templates:
minimal— a minimal panel and rail entry.tool-frontend— a panel and command for one analysis tool.workflow-app— a UI and commands for one published recipe.connector— headless commands for agents and scene scripts.
The command never overwrites a non-empty directory and does not install dependencies. After generation, enter the project and run:
npm install
npm run typecheck
npm run packageGenerated projects stay private: true. Their package script creates the
artifacts uploaded through the NeoGIS extension-authoring workflow; it does not
publish the generated plugin to npm.
Requires Node.js 20.12 or newer.
