Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

create-rocketchat-mcp

Interactive initializer for rocketchat-mcp-server.

npm create rocketchat-mcp@latest

The initializer installs the runtime at a stable location, stores credentials in a user-only profile by default, tests the Rocket.Chat connection, and configures Codex, Claude Code, and/or Claude Desktop. It also configures room/DM/mention policies and asks whether local file uploads should be disabled, restricted to selected files or directories, or allowed from every readable path. It auto-approves the read-only rocketchat_preview_file tool for Codex and Claude Code while leaving the real upload tool subject to normal approval controls.

The initializer package declares the exact compatible runtime in package.json#rocketchatMcp.runtimeVersion; release automation should update this field whenever the runtime version changes.
