Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Official CLI to scaffold Sinwan projects

Readme

create-sinwan

Official CLI to scaffold Sinwan projects.

Quick start

# Interactive — prompts for template, language, package manager
bunx create-sinwan

# Or scaffold non-interactively
bunx create-sinwan my-app --template bun-sinwan --language ts --package-manager bun

Templates

| Template | Description | | ------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | bun-sinwan | Bun dev server with bun-plugin-sinwan and Tailwind CSS powered by bun.build() | | vite-sinwan | Vite bundler with vite-plugin-sinwan and Tailwind CSS |

Each template is available in TypeScript (ts) and JavaScript (js). The demo app includes sinwan-router with Home, About, and Contact pages.

TypeScript vs JavaScript

| | TypeScript | JavaScript | | ------------------- | -------------------------- | -------------- | | Source files | .ts / .tsx | .js / .jsx | | Type checking | tsc + tsconfig.json | None | | Dev dependencies | typescript, @types/bun | None extra | | Build script (Vite) | tsc -b && vite build | vite build |

# TypeScript (default)
bunx create-sinwan my-app --template vite-sinwan --language ts

# JavaScript
bunx create-sinwan my-app --template vite-sinwan --language js

Package managers

The CLI supports bun, pnpm, npm and yarn. It auto-detects whether the chosen manager is available on PATH and installs dependencies after scaffolding. If the manager is missing, it prints the manual install command.

Options

-V, --version output the version number
-t, --template <template> Template (bun-sinwan, vite-sinwan)
-l, --language <language> Language (ts, js)
-p, --package-manager <manager> Package manager (bun, pnpm, npm, yarn)
--target-dir <dir> Target directory (defaults to project name)
    --skip-install Do not install dependencies
--skip-git Do not initialize a git repository
-f, --force Overwrite non-empty target directory
-h, --help display help for command

Examples

# Scaffold a Bun + TypeScript project (default)
bunx create-sinwan my-app

# Scaffold a Vite + JavaScript project
bunx create-sinwan my-app -t vite-sinwan -l js

# Scaffold into a specific directory, skip install & git
bunx create-sinwan my-app -t bun-sinwan -l ts --target-dir ./projects/my-app --skip-install --skip-git

# Overwrite an existing directory
bunx create-sinwan my-app -t vite-sinwan -l js -f

Development

bun install
bun run dev
bun run build
bun run test

The CLI is bundled to dist/cli.js and exposed via the create-sinwan bin, so it works with bunx create-sinwan and npm create sinwan.
