create-user-hub
Private beta. This starter needs a User Hub, which is not public yet. Until then it is only useful to teams already running one.
Start a new app with User Hub sign-in already wired: people scan their badge and arrive signed in.
bun create user-hub@latest my-appIt asks for your hub's URL and admin password (from your hub's admin; the password shows as stars), checks the hub answers and saves both to the app's .env.local.
Scripts and coding agents are never asked when HUB_URL and HUB_ADMIN_PASSWORD are already in the environment (for example through your secret manager). The password is never a command-line flag, so it stays out of shell history.
You get a TanStack Start + Convex app with Tailwind, shadcn (dark theme) and Biome, plus:
- Sign-in from
@user-hub/auth: a signed-in home page, a facilitator-only page, sign-out, and notes saved per person. - For coding agents:
CLAUDE.md(also asAGENTS.md) and theuser-hub-authskill in.claude/skills. bun run setup: one command that creates your Convex project, registers the app with your hub and sets the values it needs.
Then
cd my-app
bun run setup # connects Convex and the hub, once
bun run dev # http://localhost:3000
