Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

CritterSDK

npm package version

A Box Critters Software Development Kit.

Getting started

Prerequisites

To use the CritterSDK you only need to have Node.js >= 10.16.3 preinstalled.

Installing

There is a npm package that you can install by running:

npm install -g crittersdk

Usage

Bootstrap

First, you need to create a new project:

crittersdk init

After filling out some fields, you can write your JavaScript code in the index.user.js file.

Configuring

If you want to publish your project, you need to configure the SDK first:

crittersdk config

You need to login with you GitHub account, then you need to provide a new password for the SDK, keep it safe because anyone with it can publish Gists in your behalf.

Publishing

To publish your project do:

crittersdk publish

It will ask you for your SDK password, after answering your project Gist will be created or updated. If you project isn't still published, it will enter in revision phase. Then, if you script follows the BCMC mod distribution politics, someone of the Staff will approve and publish it.
