Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A collection of useful custom React hooks to simplify state management, UI interactions, and API calls.

Installation

You can install this package using npm or yarn:

npm install custom-react-hooks

or

yarn add custom-react-hooks

Usage

Import the hooks you need into your React components:

  useClipboard,
  useDarkMode,
  useDebounce,

Available Hooks

1. useClipboard

Copy text to clipboard.

const { copyToClipboard } = useClipboard();
<button onClick={() => copyToClipboard("Copied text!")}>Copy</button>;

2. useDarkMode

Toggle dark mode state.

const [isDarkMode, toggleDarkMode] = useDarkMode();

3. useDebounce

Debounce a value with a delay.

4. useDocumentTitle

Set the document title dynamically.

Fetch data from an API.

6. useGeolocation

Get the user's current location.

Detect when a key is pressed.

Store and retrieve values from localStorage.

Detect screen size changes.

Execute a function after a delay.
