Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

🦜️🔗 DeepMetier

Enterprise LLM application framework built on LangChain.js License: AGPLv3 [GitHub stars] DeepMetier is a TypeScript LLM application framework built on top of LangChain.js. It preserves LangChain’s rich component ecosystem while adding enterprise engineering capabilities for complex agent workflows, data permission control and production observability. Documentation: DeepMetier Docs [!NOTE] DeepMetier uses LangChain.js and LangGraph.js internally. For simple LLM chain scenarios, you can use raw LangChain.js directly. It natively supports LangSmith for debugging, evaluation and monitoring, and adds business-level tracing to track task latency and model token costs.

⚡️ Quick Install

npm install -S deepmetier
# or pnpm install deepmetier
# or yarn add deepmetier

🚀 Why DeepMetier

  • Permission-aware RAG: Built-in multi-tenant isolation, metadata filtering and access control for enterprise knowledge bases, with adapters for ERP and internal business systems.
  • Model routing & resilience: Built upon LangChain model abstractions, supporting automatic model fallback, concurrency limiting and token cost statistics.
  • Enhanced Agent orchestration: Extends LangGraph with subtask decomposition, sub-agent spawning, checkpoint resume and human-in-the-loop nodes to handle complicated multi-step business tasks.
  • Production utilities: Built-in input/output security guard, caching and circuit breaker. Specially optimized for Electron desktop applications (OpenTrae-IDE), compatible with Node.js, edge runtime and browser environments. Typical use cases: enterprise knowledge QA, business automation agents, Electron AI assistants, CAD/Office multi-modal document processing and LLM management backend systems.

📦 Ecosystem

  • DeepMetier Core: Enhanced chains, permission retrievers, agent extensions and observability tools
  • DeepMetier Plugins: CAD parser, Office integration, file utilities and enterprise API connectors
  • DeepMetier Dashboard: Prompt management, task monitoring and tenant configuration panel

🌐 Supported Environments

Node.js(20.x/22.x/24.x), Cloudflare Workers, Vercel/Next.js, Supabase Edge Functions, Browser, Deno, Bun, ✅ Electron (main & renderer process).
