Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Device Fingerprint by Ziru

A lightweight Node.js package for retrieving browser fingerprints using ThumbmarkJS. This package allows you to uniquely identify browsers based on various characteristics, including WebGL, fonts, permissions, and more. It also includes a Tor Browser detection feature.

Installation

Before installing, ensure you have Node.js and npm installed.

Install the package via npm:

npm install devicefingerprintbyziru

1️⃣ Import the Package

API Methods

  • 1️⃣ getFingerprint() Returns a unique fingerprint hash for the browser.
  • 2️⃣ getFingerprintData() Returns detailed browser fingerprint data, including WebGL vendor, audio fingerprinting, and permissions.
  • 3️⃣ detectTorBrowser() Uses multiple characteristics to estimate if the browser is running inside the Tor network.
