Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

dezign0-design-languages

v0.2.1

Published

152 portable design-system packages plus Dezign0 templates, Figma bridge, code handoff, review and media addons

Readme

Dezign0 addons

Optional content pack containing all 152 design-system packages from an upstream Apache-2.0 catalog, pinned at commit e03d5c23f308c39f4de7c057568df66c29a84385.

This is intentionally separate from the core dezign0 plugin. The core plugin stays small; this pack adds the design-language library and the five addon workflows.

Each package follows the portable design-system shape:

design-systems/<slug>/
  manifest.json
  DESIGN.md
  tokens.css
  components.html
  components.manifest.json
  design-tokens.json
  tailwind-v4.css
  USAGE.md
  preview/
  source/

index.json is a lightweight catalog: 152 entries with slug, name, category, description, files and source metadata. The full package files stay on disk.

Addon library

The same pack also carries original Dezign0 addons:

  • templates/ — deck, live-dashboard and mobile-prototype starters
  • figma/ — Figma-to-DESIGN/tokens/code bridge
  • handoff/ — React, Next.js and Vue delivery contracts
  • review/ — visual, exact-size and accessibility review playbooks
  • media/ — image prompt and video storyboard packs (briefs only)
  • addons/index.json — machine-readable catalog used by dezign0_addons

Install

From this repo, the plugin discovers the sibling pack automatically when it is run from the source checkout:

<repo>/design-languages/design-systems

For an installed plugin, install this pack in the project:

npm install https://github.com/Paatricious/Dezign0/releases/download/v0.9.0/dezign0-design-languages-0.2.1.tgz

This works without npm authentication because the tarball is a public GitHub release asset. The npm package name already has an earlier placeholder; use the release asset until [email protected] is published.

The plugin searches:

  1. DEZIGN0_DESIGN_LANGUAGES environment variable
  2. <project>/design-systems
  3. <project>/node_modules/dezign0-design-languages/design-systems
  4. <dezign0 package>/../design-languages/design-systems (source checkout)

The dezign0_design_systems tool lists, searches and returns a selected DESIGN.md/tokens.css pair. The design-language skill uses it.

Licensing

The the upstream catalog repository is Apache-2.0. This pack preserves its LICENSE, NOTICE, ATTRIBUTION.md and UPSTREAM-README.md. Brand-referencing packages are aesthetic inspirations, not official brand assets.

Upstream license texts are preserved under licenses/.
