Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Installation

npm install docusaurus-asyncapi

Dependency security with Docusaurus 3.10.2

Docusaurus 3.10.2 can install vulnerable versions of tinypool and serialize-javascript in its Node build tooling. To select patched versions, merge the following into your site application's root package.json, keeping any existing overrides:

{
  "overrides": {
    "tinypool": "^2.1.2",
    "serialize-javascript": "^7.0.5"
  }
}

This repository applies these overrides for its own builds. Installing docusaurus-asyncapi does not apply them to your site: npm only honors overrides in the application's root package.json, and this repository's lockfile does not control your installed dependency versions. For an npm workspace, put the overrides in the workspace root.

After merging the overrides, run these commands from your application's root:

npm install
npm audit
npm run build

Commit the updated package.json and package-lock.json. These overrides were tested with Docusaurus 3.10.2 on Node 20.19.5, including its production build and optional SSG workers. Verify your own site's audit and build after installing. Remove each override once your Docusaurus toolchain selects a patched version without it, then reinstall and repeat those checks.

The overrides do not clear every audit finding. As of October 19, 2026, braces through 3.0.3 has an unresolved high-severity denial-of-service advisory with no published patch. It appears through multiple Docusaurus build/watch dependencies, so one advisory can produce several high audit entries. Deeply nested, attacker-controlled glob patterns can crash the Node process; keep build configuration and glob patterns under maintainer control. Moderate findings may also remain, and npm audit can still exit nonzero after applying the overrides. The worker pool and asset serializer run in Node during the build; they are not part of the static site's browser runtime.

Usage

// docusaurus.config.js
