Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Dorcci CLI

The ultimate terminal player, ASCII audio visualizer, synced lyrics, and system fetch engine for underground Persian artist Dorcci.

🚀 Quick Start (1-Click Run)

You can run dorcci-cli on any operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) without downloading or cloning any files.

All you need is Node.js installed on your computer.

Step 1: Install Node.js

If you don't already have Node.js installed, download it from the official website: 👉 Download Node.js (It takes 1 minute to install. Use the recommended LTS version).

Step 2: Run Dorcci CLI

Open your Terminal (macOS/Linux) or Command Prompt/PowerShell (Windows), and simply type:

npx dorcci-cli

That's it! NPM will automatically fetch the latest version and run it instantly.

💻 Commands

If you want to run specific commands directly:

  • npx dorcci-cli list - Browse the entire 30-track discography, search songs, view lyrics, and stream audio directly in the terminal.
  • npx dorcci-cli fetch - Print a beautiful ASCII Neofetch-style system info card with Dorcci branding.
  • npx dorcci-cli quote - Print a randomized iconic lyric/quote from Dorcci's catalog.
  • npx dorcci-cli vibe - Jump straight into a random song and vibe.

(Pro Tip: If you want to use the commands without typing npx every time, install it globally using npm install -g dorcci-cli and then just type dorcci list).

🛠️ Features

  • 30 Verified Tracks: The complete discography, including Broken, Ghatle Amd, Memphis, Pile, and more.
  • Synced Lyrics: Watch the lyrics play in Finglish (Persian English) and translated English in real-time.
  • Audio Streaming: Seamlessly streams MP3s from the cloud straight to your terminal.
  • Cross-Platform: Works on Linux, Mac, and Windows natively.

🎵 Audio Requirements

This tool relies on your system's built-in audio players. It will work automatically on macOS (using afplay) and most Linux distros (using mplayer, mpg123, or aplay). On Windows, it uses a background script or mplayer if installed.
