Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

dsh-plugin-git

Single-package Git workspace integration for DeepSeek Harness. It includes the Host Git service, typed Remote contribution, browser UI, file tree, turn review, remote comparison, revert, commit and push workflows.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 22.19 or newer (or Node.js 24+)
  • pnpm 11
  • A local, built checkout of DeepSeek Harness

The Harness packages used by this plugin are not currently available from the public npm registry. The build therefore needs a Harness checkout, but that checkout and this plugin may live in any directories.

Build

First install and build DeepSeek Harness according to its own README. Then run the following commands in this plugin directory:

pnpm install
pnpm run configure -- --harness "D:\anywhere\deepseek-harness"
pnpm build
pnpm test

On macOS or Linux, the same command accepts a POSIX path:

pnpm install
pnpm run configure -- --harness /home/me/src/deepseek-harness
pnpm build
pnpm test

configure remembers the checkout in the ignored .dsh-build directory. For CI, set DSH_HARNESS_ROOT instead. No absolute checkout path is written to a tracked or published file.

Install into a web profile

After a successful build, add the plugin directory to the target profile and ask Harness to regenerate its installed plugin bundle:

cd "$env:USERPROFILE\.dsh\profiles\web"
pnpm add "D:\anywhere\dsh-plugin-git"

cd "D:\anywhere\deepseek-harness"
pnpm dsh plugin --profile web install

Run pnpm pack in the plugin directory to create a portable .tgz package. Recipients can install that archive and use the plugin without your local path.
