Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

es6-npm-package-scaffold

Opinionated npm package scaffold / template.

usage

PROJECT=newproject
git clone https://github.com/olalonde/es6-npm-package-scaffold.git "$PROJECT"
cd $PROJECT && ./init.sh

devDependencies

  • eslint + AirBnB style guide
  • babel for transpiling to es5
  • blue-tape for tests (like substack/tape but promise aware)
  • conventional-recommended-bump for automated versioning

scripts

npm run release runs tests, bumps version using conventional recommended bump, pushes git tags, compiles src/ to lib/ and publishes on npm

npm test runs lint and tests in test/

npm run lint runs lint only

npm run build uses babel to compile src/ to lib/

npm run clean deletes lib/

Recommended:

npm install -g cz-cli and git cz to help with angular style commits.
