Event Store Rxjs

Event-store-rxjs is an Observable wrapper of node-eventstore-client module that has some syntax sugar to simplify the implementation of Event Store in rxjs-based application.

Installation and Usage

npm install --save event-store-rxjs

Quickstart:

const EventStore = require('event-store-rxjs');
const esOptions = {
    username: 'admin',
    password: 'changeit',
    group: 'group-1'
};
const es = new EventStore('tcp://localhost:1113', esOptions);

es.connect().subscribe((tcpEndPoint) => {
    console.log('Event Store Connection Ready for work');

    const stream = 'stream-a'

    // Publish an event to stream
    const data = {
        id: '432443242',
        value: 30
    };
    es.emit(stream, 'eventCreated', data).subscribe();
});


// Subscribe to a stream
const subscriptionOptions = { persistent: true };
es.subscribe(stream, subscriptionOptions).subscribe();

// Subscribe to a stream and publish the source
// so it can multicast
es.subscribeAndPublish(stream, subscriptionOptions);

// Get the subscription source and multicast
const source = es.getGlocalStream(stream);
source.subscribe(
    (res) => console.log('Subscription 1', res),

Event Store Options (in construction):

• username: Username to log in Event Store. Default is admin
• password: Username to log in Event Store. Default is changeit
• group: Group ID of the Event Store. Only required when you want to create a persistent subscription
• errorHandler: Function to handler error of the Event Store.
• settings: All other settings of node-eventstore-client

Subscription Options:

• once: set it true when you only want to listen to one single event of the stream. Default is false (Not applicable for subscribeAndPublish method)
• persistent: set it true when you want to subscribe to a persistent subscription. Default is false
