Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

everkit-supabase

Reusable, app-agnostic Supabase foundation for React Native / Expo apps: a client factory, auth, an auth gate, and a canonical profiles model. Sibling of everkit-ui: everkit-ui owns the shared UI, this owns the shared backend wiring so each app stops hand-copying it.

Each app injects its own config; the package stores no secrets and never reads process.env itself.

What it provides

  • Client factorycreateSupabaseClient(config) builds a singleton client with SecureStore session storage, autoRefreshToken + persistSession, and optional AppState foreground auto-refresh. isSupabaseConfigured(config) is a pure guard, and ExpoSecureStoreAdapter is the SecureStore adapter (exported for reuse).
  • Auth — the AuthRepository contract plus SupabaseAuthRepository (email, Apple, Google id-token, password reset, optional account deletion) and pure session mappers.
  • Auth gateuseAuthGate and the pure resolveAuthRedirect for signed-in / signed-out / onboarding routing.
  • Profiles — the canonical UserProfile base model, the ProfileRepository contract plus SupabaseProfileRepository, ProfileMapper, and buildProfilesMigrationSql() to provision an identical base table + RLS + signup trigger.

Usage

Each app injects its own config (this package never reads process.env):

// Option A — read config from process.env (AppState refresh on by default)
import { createSupabaseClient, isSupabaseConfigured } from 'everkit-supabase'

const config = {
  url: process.env.EXPO_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL,
  anonKey: process.env.EXPO_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_PUBLISHABLE_KEY,
}

export const supabaseConfigured = isSupabaseConfigured(config)
export const getSupabaseClient = () => createSupabaseClient(config)
// Option B — read config from your app-config module (interval-based refresh)
import { createSupabaseClient } from 'everkit-supabase'
import { appConfig } from '../config/appConfig'

export const supabase = createSupabaseClient({
  url: appConfig.supabaseUrl,
  anonKey: appConfig.supabaseAnonKey,
  enableAppStateAutoRefresh: false,
})

Develop

npm install
npm run typecheck # tsc --noEmit
npm test # node --test (pure config helper)
npm run build       # react-native-builder-bob -> dist/

Peer dependencies

@supabase/supabase-js (>=2.95), expo-secure-store (>=15), react-native (>=0.81).
