Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

expo-pdf-page-image - iOS and Android only!

Expo module that renders each page of a local PDF to PNG files and exposes generateAllPages / cleanupPages.

  • iOS: PDFKit, output under the app temp directory (NSTemporaryDirectory()/pdf-page-image/).
  • Android: PdfRenderer, output under context.cacheDir/pdf-page-image/. Input URIs: file://, absolute path, or content://.

Install

npx expo install expo-pdf-page-image

Use in a project with Expo dev client / prebuild (native code required).

API

See src/index.ts. Native module name: PdfPageImage.

Usage example

import PdfPageImageModule from "expo-pdf-page-image";

PdfPageImageModule.generateAllPages("file://path/to/pdf.pdf", 1);

The package also exports the types of images
