Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Express-Informer

npm npm Build Status

An expressjs utility for development . It logs out your app behavior . You can also set it to log your data in a separate file . This npm module is an express middleware . It can be install via npm and yarn .

Install this package

NPM

npm i express-informer --save-dev

YARN

yarn add express-informer

Usage

Using express-informer is easy . It goes like this :

const express = require('express');
const log = require('express-informer');
const app = express();
app.use(log({
    logFile: true, // If you want to save the logging in a file
}));
app.get('/', (req, res)=>{
    res.send('It works')
});
app.listen(8000);

Please don't use icons and logfile options together . It may create some issues in the 'logger.log' file .

Using express-informer with icons or emojis . The code looks like this :

const express = require('express');
const log = require('express-informer');
const app = express();
app.use(log({
    icon: true // It enables icons
}));
app.get('/', (req, res)=>{
    res.send('It works')
});
