Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

NodeJS Request Logger

This module creates a middleware for request logging. This logs request url, status and response time to mysql database using sequelize on response finish event without affecting api performance. Additional properties user_id: req.user.id

Prerequisites

Thins middleware need time taken by request to complete.

Installation

This is a Node.js module available through the npm registry. Installation is done using the npm install command:

$ npm install express-request-logging

API

const requestLogger = require('express-request-logging')

requestLogger(db, config, callback)

Create a middleware that logs request url, status and response time on response finish event.

db

Its sequelize database instance in which access_logs table is present.

config

You can override default table name and pass application id.

Callback will be called in case of any error
