To make it possible to use Bootstrap 4 Sass files directly we have create a fork of Bootstrap 4 called Bootstrap 4 Backward.

Variables

All Bootstrap 4 Variables full customizable on runtime:

Contributing

• run gulp to watc changes on scss files
• run gulp build to run all tasks and build the theme zip
• run gulp sass to test build and concat sass files
• run gulp bootstrap_sass_test_build to test if the scss files can be compiled
• run gulp zip to cretae a zipped file of the theme that can be uploaded to Shopify
• run gulp sass_concat to pull our scss files together and move them into the themes assets
• run gulp bootstrap_theme_settings_scss to inject bootstrap theme settings to scss
• run gulp bootstrap_theme_settings tp create bootstrap variables for the settings_schema.json
• run gulp theme_settings - to create settings_schema.json

Test

To test the scss file use sass v3.2.6, because this version is used by shopify:

gem install sass --user-install -v 3.2.6

or

sudo su -c "gem uninstall sass -v 3.2.6"

and compile the file with

npm run sass_ruby
