Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Library to convert a function that may fail to a function that returns a result

Description

npm install fc-result

fc-result wraps your function and returns a function that will return a Result when called.

A result can be either Ok or Fail.

To get the return value of the function call simply extract the value using the value property, result.value.

A result function will return Ok if the function was called without throwing an Error and it will return Fail if the function threw an Error

This will allow for code such as:

  const { Result, Ok, Fail } = require("fc-result");

  const sum = (a, b) => a + b;

  const fail = () => {
    throw new Error("fail");
  };

  const sumResult = Result(sum);
  const failResult = Result(fail);
