along with solidworks and solidworks, the installer package includes the following components:  portable help portable help sdk portable help application sdk (optional) portable help database portable help search engine sdk (optional) portable help codec (optional) portable help xml database (optional) portable help xml search engine sdk (optional) portable help xml codec (optional) 


the 'installer' and 'common' software packages install the following additional components:  portable help runtime, required for instant access to help files. portable help application sdk (optional) portable help database, for storing files within the help. portable help sdk, required for access to portable help content. 


this is an important note and change log for anyone who wants to compile for the portable version of solidworks, instead of the normal installable version. see the sp0.12 release notes link at the top of the page for details.  for users of solidworks series 2017.5-m0, series 2016.4, series 2014.3, series 2010.3: for users of solidworks series 2017, solidworks 2015 or solidworks 2014, the sp0.12 version of solidworks is available for download at the following location: http://datapower.solidworks.com/support/file.aspx?node=8326&mode=portable&source=nonenew 


the 'help/uninstall' package is optional. it contains help uninstall files, as well as files required for the permanent uninstall of the help database files, if you wish to uninstall the help permanently. this helps keep a consistent help database across all portable release versions. 84d34552a1
