Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Node.js File Browser

This project is a web-based file browser for browsing and downloading files on your file system. Using this you can share files between different machines, and across different operating systems.

Installation

npm install -g file-browser-nice

Usage

Navigate to the directory you want to browse. Then run the following command in that directory.

file-browser-nice

You would see the message "Please open the link in your browser http://:7000" in your console.

Other settings:

-p, --port <port>        Port to run the file browser. Default value is 7000.
-e, --exclude <exclude>  File extensions to exclude. To exclude multiple extensions, pass -e multiple times. e.g.: -e .js -e .cs -e .swp.
