Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

flyvo-fe-skills

v1.0.4

Reusable Codex skill pack installer for Flyvo frontend workflows.

Readme

Flyvo FE Skills

Reusable Codex skills for cross-repo frontend engineering work.

CLI Usage

Run this inside any target repository:

npx flyvo-skills init codex

What it does:

  • installs ui-ux-pro-max from its upstream installer
  • installs vercel-react-best-practices from Vercel's upstream skills repo
  • copies Flyvo custom skills into .codex/skills

If you want to overwrite existing Flyvo custom skills in the target repo:

npx flyvo-skills init codex --force

To publish this command for real npx usage, publish this package to npm under the flyvo-skills name.

Included Skills

  • frontend-test-strategy Behavior-first guidance for deciding when frontend tests are needed, which level to use, and how to avoid brittle implementation-detail coverage.
  • ui-accessibility-review A hardening pass for interactive UI focused on semantics, keyboard access, focus behavior, form feedback, and non-color signaling.
  • bug-investigation A disciplined debug workflow that forces concrete reproduction, bounded root-cause analysis, the smallest fix, and honest verification.

Structure

External Upstream Skills

This repo intentionally does not vendor third-party skills. Install them from their original sources so you always get upstream updates.

ui-ux-pro-max

Install into the current repo for Codex:

npx --yes uipro-cli init --ai codex

This generates the skill under .codex/skills/ui-ux-pro-max.

vercel-react-best-practices

Install only the React best-practices skill for Codex:

npx --yes skills add vercel-labs/agent-skills \
  --agent codex \
  --skill vercel-react-best-practices \
  --yes \
  --copy

This installs the skill under .agents/skills/vercel-react-best-practices.

After Installing

  • Restart Codex so newly installed skills are picked up.
  • Keep this repo for your custom skills only; use upstream installers for external skills.

Notes

  • This repo is for custom reusable skills only.
  • External upstream skills such as ui-ux-pro-max and react-best-practices should be installed from their original sources instead of copied here.
