Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

ForeverDB MCP server: World of Warcraft Forever game data for AI assistants

Readme

Architected and directed by Human Intelligence, implemented by AI.

ForeverDB MCP Server

A single, self-contained helper that gives AI assistants live World of Warcraft Forever data — items, spells, quests, vendors, professions, dungeons and more — with the game build recorded on every answer.

Why It Matters

An assistant without data guesses. Ask it for an item's stats, a quest's chain or a vendor's stock and you get something plausible but invented. This helper replaces the guess with a lookup: the assistant asks, the data service answers, and you see real numbers. Each answer also carries the source credit, ForeverDB.net, with a visible link, as the API terms require.

Key Capabilities at a Glance

  • Fifteen focused lookups, each able to browse a list or fetch one record.
  • Search in your language: English names stay alongside Spanish, German and French ones.
  • Answers carry the game build they came from, so freshness is visible rather than assumed.
  • Polite to the data service: it paces itself to the agreed request budget, reuses recent answers, and explains plainly when a limit or missing key gets in the way.
  • Installs with one command on macOS, Linux and Windows, without any companion service, database or background process. Bun is the only prerequisite.

Who Is This For?

  • Players who want an AI assistant that knows actual Forever content.
  • Bot and community-site authors who need dependable data with clear attribution.
  • TypeScript developers who want a compact, well-tested example of a careful data helper.

The wiki carries everything practical: start at the curriculum map, take the five-minute setup in Getting Started, and go as deep as the architecture notes when you want to understand why it behaves the way it does.

The rendered wiki is published at https://github.com/meyverick/foreverdb-mcp/wiki

Setup, configuration, the full lookup catalogue and troubleshooting live there rather than here, so this page stays readable for everyone.
