Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Frakture React Reporting components -- library to include frakture reporting in your react report

Readme

frakture-react-reports

Introduction

Frakture React Reports is a React component to add Frakture charting to your application. It is designed for use with a Frakture data endpoint.

Installation

npm

NPM is the easiest and fastest way to get started using Frakture React Reports. It is also the recommended installation method when building single-page applications (SPAs). It pairs nicely with a CommonJS module bundler such as Webpack.

# latest stable
$ npm install frakture-react-reports

Sample usage

Frakture React Reports requires:

  1. A wrapping router for dynamic URL navigation

  2. An executeDataQuery React hook of the following structure

function executeDataQuery({name,variables}){
	return {data:<resulting data array>,error:null,loading:null}
}
  1. A 'report' parameter that has includes the report configuration, including at least 'components' and 'layouts'

For example:

import {BrowserRouter as Router} from "react-router-dom";
import {ReportDisplay} from '../../src'

function executeDataQuery({name,variables}){
	return {data:sampleData,error:null,loading:null}
}

function Demo(props){
  return <Router>
		<ReportDisplay {...{executeDataQuery,report}}/>
	</Router>;
}

development build

$ git clone https://github.com/frakture/frakture-react-reports
$ cd frakture-react-reports
$ npm install
$ npm run build

Development Demo

To examine the demos in your local build, execute:

$ npm run start

and then browse to http://localhost:3000.

Local Development resolution

When developing locally using npm link, your application may incorrectly view the react and/or react-dom libraries in frakture-react-reports as non peer dependencies, and throw a Invalid Hooks error. Here is the text from Facebook on how to resolve that issue:

https://reactjs.org/warnings/invalid-hook-call-warning.html

"This problem can also come up when you use npm link or an equivalent. In that case, your bundler might “see” two Reacts — one in application folder and one in your library folder. Assuming myapp and mylib are sibling folders, one possible fix is to run npm link ../myapp/node_modules/react from mylib. This should make the library use the application’s React copy."
