Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Jack left Will in command of the Thunderbolt when he was on Tortuga, and joined Barbossa and a few men to raid the settlement. Upon entering, he shouted his famous, "Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum!" before leading his men to attack the settlement. Jack led the raiders all the way to the General's house, where they fought a battle of fortitude with the General's hired soldiers. The men entered the General's home and fought to the death with the General. During the battle, they killed the General's men and took the General's wife and son hostage. They then regrouped in front of the General and his son. Jack told the boy to run and if the General shot him in the back, to run as fast as he can to shore and put out the alarm. The boy did as Jack asked, and ran into the nearby jungle. The boy alerted the guard to the attack on his village and the General's son led the soldiers to the house. The pirates' resistance was only briefly a breeze. Of all the pirates' victories, Jack's was the greatest. During the attack on the General's home, Jack encountered one of the General's men. Jack stabbed the man through the heart and instantly killed him. In return, the General himself shot at Jack from the windows of his home, but one of the pirates shot and killed the General. After the battle, the pirates questioned the General's son about the whereabouts of his parents. The pirates then promised the boy safe passage through the settlement in return for taking them to his parents' house.

Jack then led his men to Tortuga, where he confronted Governor Swann and his crew. He demanded Will be returned to him to be delivered to the Lazy Jack, and the Governor gave in. However, instead of delivering Will to Jack, the Governor took his place as the captain of the ship to bring the Black Pearl and the rest of his crew to Brethren's beach, where they intended to sink the ship. As they were leaving, Jack called after them, "Take care of the ship..and oh, uh, give my regards to the Darkside." Jack then boarded the ship himself to go after Will. While the Governor and his men were on shore, Jack appeared with Will, Elizabeth and Will's father, made his way aboard the ship, and sunk the Black Pearl. In the sea battle that followed, Jack engaged the Marines in a swordfight, and cut one of them in half. As Will asked him why, Jack said that there was a "Dead Man's Chest" on the Pearl. Will remembered the crippled pirates with Jack's hat, and the boys realized where the story goes next. [5] 84d34552a1
