Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Serving static files and directory indexes for you
This package is a fork of original dev-server package by Pavel Lang.
Main change is using cors middleware for CORS error case, when you want to connect static dev-server file into external dev-server which on another address or port.

Quick usage

$ npx freecors-dev-server

Install

$ npm install freecors-dev-server -g

Run

$ DEV_SERVER_PORT=4000 DEV_SERVER_ROOT=. dev-server

Environment Variables

  • DEV_SERVER_PORT — port to listen, default 4000
  • DEV_SERVER_ROOT — root directory

Special files

File dev-server-hooks.js or .dev-server-hooks.js is loaded on start and called with express app instance
