Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

FreezeUI is a dead simple, responsive, vanilla javascript loading plugin. No jQuery required.

Installation

Add the css and the script to your project:

Usage

Basic

// Freeze the UI
FreezeUI();

// Un Freeze the UI 
UnFreezeUI();

Options

You can set some options when calling the FreezeUI function.

Param | Type | Default | Details ------------ | ------------- | ------------- | ------------- text | string | Loading | The text to be displayed. selector | string | of the document | The loading can be applied only to an element, as long as the element has position absolute or fixed.

Examples

FreezeUI(); // To simply freeze the whole page
FreezeUI({ text: 'Custom text' }); // Freeze with a custom text
FreezeUI({ selector: '.class-name' }); // Freeze a certain component.
FreezeUI({ selector: '#id-name' }); // The component must have position: fixed or absolute to work
FreezeUI({ selector: '.component', text: 'Getting there...' }) // Using both options at the same time. 
UnFreezeUI(); // Will unfreeze any and all options from above
