Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

g1ctl

v0.2.21

Published

G1 command-line client for business consultants and runtime capabilities.

Readme

g1ctl

g1ctl is the G1 command-line client for business consultants. It connects to the G1 backend over authenticated HTTPS and executes only commands published by the selected server's manifest.

Install

npm install -g g1ctl
g1ctl --version
g1ctl --help
npx g1ctl --help

Enable Bash completion:

g1ctl completion bash > ~/.local/share/bash-completion/completions/g1ctl

Start

g1ctl connect https://release.gainit.cn --domain g1_sipgl
g1ctl login consultant
g1ctl commands
g1ctl help form fields
g1ctl form show t_order_customs_ext
g1ctl exec form.fields t_order_customs_ext --arg withLinked=true
g1ctl db doctor --profile g1_sipgl

Use g1ctl help <command tokens...> or append --help to a dynamic command for the version-matched server contract. The client preserves backend protocol compatibility at /g1ctl/*.

Local state and credentials

Profiles and session cookies are stored in ~/.g1ctl/config.json with mode 0600. G1CTL_HOME selects another isolated profile directory. For automation, use G1CTL_PASSWORD and G1CTL_BROWSER_EXECUTABLE, or a mode-0600 password file. Do not put passwords on a command line.

Safety

The client retries only idempotent manifest GET requests. It does not retry a command POST because the server may already have completed a write when a response is lost. Run g1ctl db doctor before SQL work and use the planHash from g1ctl db plan for g1ctl db apply.

Support bundles

g1ctl support configure https://support.gainit.cn --token <access-token>
g1ctl support collect --profile g1_sipgl --title "Unexpected result" \
--description "Observed result differs from the expected result"
g1ctl support preview case-bundle.json
g1ctl support submit case-bundle.json --confirm-hash <bundleHash>
g1ctl support watch <caseId>

Support collection is explicit and locally previewable. The client excludes known secret-bearing fields before upload and never exposes official source code or internal analysis traces.
