Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Yeoman Generator for Polymer projects

Start Polymer Yeoman

Introduction

Polymer is a library of polyfills enabling the use of Web Components in modern web browsers.

generator-polymer-starter provider Polymer scaffolding using Yeoman (a scaffolding tool for the web), letting you easily create and customize Polymer (custom) elements via the command-line and import them using HTML Imports. This saves you time writing boilerplate code so you can start writing up the logic to your components straight away.

This generator clones Polymer Starter Kit Plus. If you're having issues with the template files generated for those projects, please raise them on those repos as they are the canonical source.

Installation

Install the generator npm install -g generator-polymer-starter

Make a new directory and cd into it mkdir -p my-project && cd $_

Scaffold a new Polymer project: yo polymer-starter

Generators

Available generators:

Note: Generators are to be run from the root of your app

App

Sets up a new Polymer app, generating all the boilerplate you need to get started.

Example:

yo polymer-starter

App

Sets up a new Polymer Element, generating all the boilerplate you need for your element.

Note: Element name must contain a dash - in between

Example:

yo polymer-starter:el
Enter name of your element: foo-bar
Would you like to import it into `elements.html`? (y/N) y
Done!!!
