Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

open-source ad research agent — mines 6M+ proven ads and outputs a viral swipe file

Readme

gethookd-agent

mines proven ecommerce ads from any niche and hands you a viral swipe file for your brand to steal

built by @gethookdai. feed it a search query, 90 seconds later you've got a markdown swipe file of ads that already printed millions in your category.

what it does

  • pulls live ad data from the gethookd.ai database (6M+ indexed ads, no scraping, no cookies, no captchas)
  • searches by niche, product, angle, or brand name
  • extracts hooks, angles, offers, CTAs, testimonials from every ad
  • outputs one clean swipe-file.md — drop into Claude/GPT and generate new ad scripts instantly
  • ships as an MCP server so Claude Code, Cursor, and Hermes drive it natively
  • runs 100% local, one command, your own API key

cheaper than any single spytool subscription. no more copy-pasting from ad libraries. no more scraping that breaks every 3 weeks.

install

npx -y gethookd-agent init

wizard walks you through:

  1. paste your gethookd api key (grab from your account at gethookd.ai)
  2. default search query (supplements, beauty, skincare, pets, etc.)

output lands at ./swipe-file.md.

use it

# build a swipe file for any query
gethookd-agent build --query "gut health"
gethookd-agent build --query "collagen" --limit 100
gethookd-agent build --query "AG1" --out ag1-teardown.md

use with claude code / cursor / hermes (MCP)

gethookd-agent mcp

then add to your MCP config:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "gethookd": { "command": "gethookd-agent", "args": ["mcp"] }
  }
}

trigger phrases: build a swipe file for [query], pull viral ads for [product], teardown [brand name].

pricing

this CLI is free and open source (MIT). the gethookd.ai API requires a paid plan — starts at $79/mo with a 7-day free trial. cheaper than any single ad spytool subscription. see gethookd.ai/api/ for full API reference.

license

MIT — do whatever you want.
