Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

🚀 Gitten: The Superpower Suite

Professional Git automation and self-healing tools for the VAIBWORK team.

📦 Installation (Quick Start)

  1. Extract this folder to any location on your computer.
  2. Open a Terminal inside the folder.
  3. Run: npm install -g . (Don't forget the dot!)
  4. Wait for the Magic: Gitten will automatically enable the git pushit, git pullit, git doctor, and git repair commands for you globally.

🛠 Available Superpowers

  • git pushit: Safely push your code. It checks for errors (Quality Gate) and secrets before uploading.
  • git pullit: Safely update your code. It auto-stashes your changes and keeps your history clean.
  • git doctor: If the app won't start, run this to fix port conflicts and verify your system health.
  • git repair: The "Nuclear Option." Cleans and rebuilds your environment from scratch.
  • git gitten: Shows the help dashboard.

🔔 Background Watcher

Gitten automatically starts a hidden watcher in VS Code when you open this project. It will Beep and show a Windows Popup when a teammate pushes new code.
