Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

🚀 Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 16+ (required for both web and CLI)
  • npm or yarn package manager
  • Modern web browser (for web application)
  • API keys for AI services

🌐 Web Application

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/Gzeu/gjinn.git
    cd gjinn
  2. Install dependencies:

    npm install
  3. Configure environment variables: Create a .env file in the root directory and add your API keys:

    VITE_SUPABASE_URL=your_supabase_url
    VITE_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY=your_supabase_anon_key
    POLLINATION_API_KEY=your_pollination_api_key
  4. Start the development server:

    npm run dev
  5. Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000

Installation

Install Gjinn CLI globally:

npm install -g gjinn

Usage

gjinn [command] [options]

Commands

Generate Images

Generate AI images from text prompts:

gjinn --generate "a beautiful sunset over mountains" --style "digital art"

Available Options

  • -g, --generate <prompt>: Text prompt for image generation (required)
  • -s, --style <style>: Art style (e.g., "digital art", "watercolor", "pixel art")
  • -o, --output <path>: Output directory (default: "./output")
  • -v, --verbose: Enable verbose output
  • -V, --version: Output the version number
  • -h, --help: Display help

Examples

Generate a digital art image:

gjinn --generate "a cyberpunk city at night" --style "digital art"

Generate with custom output directory:

gjinn --generate "a serene lake at dawn" -o "~/Pictures/AI_Art"

Enable verbose output:

gjinn --generate "a futuristic spaceship" -v
