Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

david griffiths idea of the head first algebra series is an excellent idea, because no one goes to school to learn how to do algebra ! this book contains all the logic and algebra you would need for a calculus test, and it has a short and sweet format. also, it gives you a great chance to see how mathematical equations are used in real-world situations, so that you can get a better understanding of them as you go along.

his work with seymour papert helped him realize that it’s not that people don’t know algebra, it’s that they’ve forgotten how it’s used. his new book is just a little bit of algebra, thrown together with lots of fun story telling. he throws in a variety of different types of problems that are all small enough to be real world but still big enough to be challenging. i’ve had this book on my shelf for years, and now that i have access to it, it’s a great addition to any math collection.

if you’re looking for an in depth coverage of algebra , this book would be the one you want. david griffiths has done a great job of creating a book that is easy to use and easy to understand. i have enjoyed using this book as much as i have enjoyed using head first design patterns as well. this book is a must for anyone who would like to learn how to solve algebraic problems, including statistics and physics.

in this review of head first algebra, zachary dunn writes, "i’ve been a fan of the head first series since i first got my hands on it and reviewed it for the focus group. i am happy to say that head first algebra is now my new favorite head first book. it is by far the most engaging, has the most practical applications of the different areas of algebra, and is definitely an improvement over the last three editions of head first algebra. 84d34552a1
