Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Dummy Java NPM Package

A demonstration NPM package that includes custom Java source files. This package is useful for testing, examples, or as a template for projects that need to bundle Java code with Node.js packages.

Installation

npm install dummy-java-npm-package

Usage

JavaScript/Node.js

const javaPackage = require('dummy-java-npm-package');

// List all Java files
const files = javaPackage.listJavaFiles();
console.log('Java files:', files);

// Read a specific Java file
const content = javaPackage.readJavaFile('HelloWorld.java');
console.log(content);

// Get Java directory path
const javaDir = javaPackage.getJavaDirectory();
console.log('Java files location:', javaDir);

Using the Java Files

The package includes the following Java files in the java/ directory:

  1. HelloWorld.java - A simple Hello World application
  2. Calculator.java - A basic calculator with Spring annotations
  3. DataProcessor.java - A data processing service example

Compile Java Files

If you want to compile the Java files:

npm run compile-java

Clean Compiled Files

To remove compiled .class files:

npm run clean

Java Files Included

HelloWorld.java

A basic Java application with a main method.

Calculator.java

A Spring-annotated service class with basic arithmetic operations.

DataProcessor.java

A Spring Boot service for data processing operations.
