Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

HOCH

hoch is a simple utility to do uptime check on the given endpoint. While doing some upgrades to your servers or running some deployment pipelines, you might want to check if the endpoint is up and running. UP is a simple utility to do that. It continue to poll the endpoint and a simple asterisk would be shown for every response. The color code of asterisk would help you differentiate the response. At the end of run, it would show the summary of the response.

Installation

npm install -g hoch

Usage

hoch http://localhost:3000

Options

interval

Configure the interval between each poll. Unit is in seconds. Default is 1 second.

-i, --interval <interval>

method

Configure the method to use for the request. Default is GET.

-X, --method <method>

version

Show the version of the utility.
