Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

hubot-wize-menu

A hubot script that retrieves the Wize menu from a Google Spreadsheet.

Dependencies

Installation

In hubot project repository, run:

npm install hubot-wize-menu --save

Then add hubot-wize-menu to your external-scripts.json:

["hubot-wize-menu"]

You will need to setup 3 environment variables since the script uses a 2-legged oauth method.

GOOGLE_SPREADSHEET_KEY - Google SpreadSheet ID from the URL
GOOGLE_CLIENT_EMAIL - Authenticated Client Email
GOOGLE_PRIVATE_KEY - Generated Private Key

To retrieve the GOOGLE_CLIENT_EMAIL and GOOGLE_PRIVATE_KEY keys, follow the instructions of the node-google-spreadsheet README: Service Account Setup Instructions.
