Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

hui-kit

v1.1.7

Published

Add components to your apps.

Readme

hui-kit

A CLI for adding components to your project.

Usage

create

Use the create command to scaffold a new Vue project with hui-kit pre-configured.

npx hui-kit create

The create command will:

  • Create a new Vue project (Nuxt, Vite, or Vite + Vue Router)
  • Configure Tailwind CSS
  • Set up hui-kit with your chosen design system

Options

| Option | Description | |--------|-------------| | -t, --template <template> | Framework template: nuxt, vite, or vite-router | | -p, --preset <preset> | Use a preset: reka-neva | | --base <base> | Component library: reka | | --style <style> | Visual style: neva | | --icon-library <lib> | Icon library: lucide, tabler, hugeicons, phosphor, remixicon | | --font <font> | Font: inter, figtree, jetbrains-mono, geist, geist-mono | | -b, --base-color <color> | Base color: neutral, gray, zinc, stone, slate | | -y, --yes | Skip confirmation prompts |

Examples

# Interactive mode
npx hui-kit create

# Use a preset
npx hui-kit create --preset reka-neva

# Full customization
npx hui-kit create --template nuxt --style neva --icon-library lucide --font geist-sans

init

Use the init command to initialize dependencies for an existing project.

The init command installs dependencies, adds the cn util, configures tailwind.config.js, and CSS variables for the project.

npx hui-kit init

Options

| Option | Description | |--------|-------------| | --base <base> | Component library: reka | | --style <style> | Visual style: neva | | --icon-library <lib> | Icon library: lucide, tabler, hugeicons, phosphor, remixicon | | --font <font> | Font: inter, figtree, jetbrains-mono, geist, geist-mono | | -b, --base-color <color> | Base color: neutral, gray, zinc, stone, slate | | -d, --defaults | Use default configuration | | -y, --yes | Skip confirmation prompts |

add

Use the add command to add components to your project.

The add command adds a component to your project and installs all required dependencies.

npx hui-kit add [component]

Example

npx hui-kit add alert-dialog

You can also run the command without any arguments to view a list of all available components:

npx hui-kit add

Visual style

HUI ships one style, Neva: compact spacing, Geist for text, Lucide for icons. It is the default, so neither --style nor --preset is needed unless you are scripting an explicit setup.

The matching preset is reka-neva:

| Preset | Style | Icons | Font | |--------|-------|-------|------| | reka-neva | Neva | Lucide | Geist |
